Through Preston Opportunities he provides many venues for the collector, hobbyist, and aficionados to acquire and enjoy the finest in antiques and collectibles. The Volney Phifer story is so incredible that I cannot recall ever being involved in an auction where the subject of the sale is so compelling. This sale will go down in the history books as the most interesting auction that I have ever conducted. Mr. Phifer was in charge of the props for the sets of Ameirca's best movies including the Wizard of Oz, Trader Horn, Mutiny on the Bounty, Good Earth and many of Tarzan's best movies. He owned and trained Leo and Chettah and eventually buried them on his Animal farm where he kept the inventory that will be sold at this auction. This is truely another chance to relive the changes and the bygone era of cinema from the time of silent movies up to the 1960's. He recorded it all in pictures and in scrapbooks. It will be sold. This exciting sale will include the only Tarzan prop ever, and it will include his personal bone tip spear, bow and arrow and so much more. I will be selling the highly embellished carved to death wagon which was photographed along with Leo perhaps more than any other icon in movie history.
