This is because I have spent so much of my life in educational situations. I grew up as the son of a college professor and a public school teacher. I thought I would probably also wind up on the college campus and went as far as becoming a PHD candidate when a rare health problem prevented me from completing the degree. So I settled for my first career to be in college textbook publishing where I rose to the position of National Director of Sales and Marketing for a New York firm. After a few years in "The City" I grew homesick for my native southland and returned to the south, ending up in Middle Tenessee. For the past few years I have been teaching Pre-license courses for prospective Realtors® and Continuing Education for experienced Realtors®. With this background, I work with my clients to be sure they thoroughly understand the real estate or auction transaction with which they are becoming involved. I first became a Realtor® in Tennessee in 1985 and an auctioneer in 1994. I hold a GRI designation and have been both a Principal Broker and a Principal Auctioneer.
