Alan then joined the US Marine Corps. After 4-1/2 years as a Marine and serving 7 months of that term in Desert Storm, he decided to move back to Idaho to pursue his entrepreneurial dreams. After returning home in 1991, Alan began the creation of Armstrong Auctions. In 1992 shortly after graduating from Missouri Auction School, there arose an opportunity for Alan to purchase what later became the Armstrong Auctions Gallery in downtown Caldwell. The gallery was open from 1992 'til 2006. Alan is now in Bozeman Montana and conducts auctions all over Montana, Idaho and beyond. We auction real estate, farm and ranch, heavy equipment, vehicles, onsite estate, and business liquidation auctions. Alan has been fortunate to sell over 1500 auctions for his own company as well as assist several other auctioneers all over the country. Alan is an avid reader of business, marketing, and auction related books and magazines. Alan is a member of the National Auctioneers Association as well as a graduate of AARE (Accredited Auctioneer of Real Estate) and CES (Certified Estate Specialist) courses.
