CharityFundraiser ("we", "our", "the platform") is a multi-tenant SaaS used by non-profit organizations to run auctions, donations, ticketing, and events. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
What we collect
- Account information you provide: name, email, organization, role.
- Donor & bidder activity processed on behalf of the non-profit that invited you: donations, bids, ticket purchases, payment confirmations.
- Technical data: IP address, browser type, device identifiers — used for security and abuse prevention.
- Payment data: handled directly by Stripe; we never see full card numbers.
How we use it
- To deliver the service: run auctions, accept donations, issue receipts.
- To communicate transactional information (receipts, outbid alerts, event reminders).
- To detect fraud and protect users.
- To comply with tax, accounting, and 501(c)(3) reporting obligations on behalf of the non-profit.
Who controls the data
The non-profit organization you donate to or bid with is the data controller of donor records. We act as the data processor. Your relationship is primarily with the non-profit; we provide them the tools.
Sharing
We do not sell or rent personal data. We share data with sub-processors only as needed to deliver the service: Stripe (payments), SMTP2GO/TurboSMTP (email delivery), Telnyx (SMS), and our hosting infrastructure.
Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by emailing the non-profit you interacted with, or by writing to privacy@charityfundraiser.com.
